HOST A COMMUNITY SCREENING
To inspire, educate and build awareness.
Hosting a screening is a powerful way to advocate for Julian Assange and the wider issues of press freedom and freedom of speech. You hire the venue and keep any ticket sales, and we’ll provide you with the everything you need - the film file and marketing materials. We’ll also promote your screening through our website!
HOW TO ORGANISE A COMMUNITY SCREENING
STEP 1
Purchase a screening license. Licenses can be purchased from Journeyman Pictures here (click the ‘get screening license button on this page). Once you purchase a license, you will receive a link to a high res H.265 digital file, which you can use to show the film. If you are hiring a cinema, the cinema may need the film file in DCP format. If so, please contact Tami at Journeyman Pictures via bookings@journeyman.tv to arrange DCP delivery.
STEP 2
Book a venue for your screening. We recommend to allow at least 6 weeks for marketing lead time.
STEP 3
Use the marketing kit to publicise your screening to your local community. We have everything you’ll need including digital and printable flyers, media release templates, banners for FB events, even social media memes.
Click here to access the marketing kit
STEP 4
Once you have tickets on sale, contact us to let us know, and we’ll list your screening on our website. In your email, mention the date, time, venue location and online ticket link for your screening.
If you have any queries about organising a community screening, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
